My compliments to everyone involved. Everything is first class. I am taking the opportunity to watch as many productions of the Savoy Operasas I can, basically one a day. I have stage managed, designed or lit many productions in the UK, as well as watching many professional, and amateur permormances. I have to say this is up among the best.

A beautiful, well-sung production. Zoie Reams has a wonderfully rich, strong mezzo-soprano that suits Carmen perfectly. She's also an actress who makes interesting and effective choices. John Pickle is a fine Jose with ringing top notes. I loved the use of the spoken dialogue rather than The dreary recitatives. The sets and costumes are very effective in conveying the story. Excellent work from everyone!

Only 2 people seemed to be in the audience.....how sad. Other than that it was a terrific production.

I also enjoyed this production. I do have a question though. The lack of clapping and laughter was very noticeable, especially at the end. Was this a final dress rehearsal?
